I'm Erin Jo. I'm thinking, writing, dreaming, mothering, loving, living, praising, BLESSED to be Fiona to my Shrek and Mommy to my four amazing kiddos.

Shrek is "like an onion with many layers" but has a heart of gold. He's my husband and my friend, and we just get better all the time.

lily

lily

Lily is my first baby and only girl. She's smart, funny, tall and kind. Keeping up with this girl is a challenge and a joy. She's terrific!

max

max

Max is one part ogre, two parts lover and all boy! Our little man has a temper but gives the best hugs of anyone I know!

colby

Colby is as ornery as he looks. He flirts shamelessly, even with strangers. He's all mouth and curls and the loudest by far.

Luke is the baby of the family, but holds his own. He's happy and adorable. And he's a terrible sleeper. =)

Imagine Dragons

Working together

Well, I only have about seven different posts in my head. I’m not sure how this is happening, but I seem to have less and less time lately. Admittedly, I can’t blame my lack of blogging all on my lack of time. Instead, I’ll own up to a lack of spirit, a lack of blogging passion. It’s been a wild month of weather, work, sickness and, of course, the loss of our dear Ava. And I’m not pushing myself to share too much of myself. I’m trying to remember to let myself be a human being and not so much of a human doing. (As if I ever stop doing anything. I am in constant motion.)

Alas, here is a post, and it is called ‘Imagine Dragons.’ I pulled off a huge crafting feat with the older kids yesterday. All weekend, we planned and plotted. We shopped and shared ideas. We wondered and waited for all the stars to align until finally after church and a family visit, we arrived home with all the supplies, the time, and a blessed nap for helper Colby, who needed to be out of the way for the bulk of our creating.

And what did we create? A fairy garden for Lily….

A dragon garden for Max…

And a car garden for Colby… For some reason, no photo on that one.

It was great fun! The kids’ imaginations are such amazing things. Max has so many plans, and Lily can’t wait to add a pond to hers. Lily has no doubt that fairies are real, that we must only believe, and Max isn’t so sure, not convinced by my noncommittal stance on the issue. But, with any luck, we’ll keep the gardens watered and growing and the kids interested and engaged.

So, tonight, imagine dragons. And think of something happy before you go to sleep.
