I Want to Linger
As you might have guessed, I have had a little bit of crisis here lately. But I’ve gotten to spend some quality time with some amazing girlfriends, with my Kenmore sweeper and even down on my hands and knees with PineSol and Mop’n’Glo. When the tough get going, the tough get cleaning! I also finally tried the Dawn and white vinegar shower cleaning potion. Wow! Worth the hype!
So my house is a little sparkly, and yet somehow, still messy. My friendships are strong and satisfying and real. And my kids have been the focus of my snuggles and eskimo kisses.
They have each been under the weather in one way or another (or maybe in two ways, if you’re special and your name is Lily!) We’ve had ALL kinds of problems at the Roberts house, but we’re OK!
We’re OK enough that we’re taking July by the horns. Lily spent her first overnight at the county’s 4-H camp. Max contracted hand, foot and mouth virus and is consuming ice cream cones for every meal. Colby surprised me by taking his place alongside his big siblings at vocational bible school for nearly three hours tonight. And Shrek and I are preparing to join our extended family and friends group and 100,000 of our other closest friends at Jamboree in the Hills later this week!
It’s that golden time where summer is still where it’s at: I’m not crispy yet and yearning for fall. I’m here, in the moment, with the kids and with amazing friends and family, in the heart of it all.
And so, yes. I think I’ll linger here a little longer.

I hope the girls had a great time at camp. 4-H Camp….something to remember. 🙂 Sounds like lots of interesting things going on in Waterford. Or scary. Or both. Anyway, I’m with you. I’m happy with the times that are.
Time flies and they grow up too quickly. I’m glad you are enjoying each and every day. I’m also glad you are in a better place and things can only get better day by day! Have a great time at Jambo! Drink water and sunscreen. Enjoy! Summer is closing in on us, that’s for sure. I love the fall and all it brings , but hate to see summer end.
Really enjoyed our date:) You are such an amazing woman, mother and friend. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming… Love ya!
